FQS Services Click on the links to learn more about services provided by FQS: Laboratory Audits and Corrective Action Management Workshops Laboratories performing analyses for forensic purposes are required to be able to demonstrate the quality of their work product. This is usually done through a process of inspection by an outside agency against a set of standards.In all cases, preparation is a demanding and time-consuming task. FQS offers assistance through an on-site workshop designed to skill staff in laboratory auditing and corrective action management. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is involved? The workshop teaches the basic principles of compliance auditing
illustrated by reference to the standards.
Teams are coached through practical audits of selected areas
of the laboratory. The
teams then prepare compliance reports and are led through the process
of identifying the root cause of corrective action and managing
the implementation of remediations. Why do we recommend this approach? The traditional approach of an outside team conducting an audit
and presenting a report of non-conformances only identifies the
gaps between actual and required performance.
It does nothing to help the laboratory understand the processes
of self-assessment and improvement.
